Hello Friends & Family,
On September 12th I am participating in the 2015 Dayton Plane Pull®, presented by Booz Allen Hamilton, to benefit Special Olympics Ohio. I have been working with a Special Needs group this past year, teaching them basketball and life skills. Having the privilege to work with them has motivated me to receive my training, and I am now a certified Special Olympics head basketball coach.
The 2015 Dayton Plane Pull® will challenge me and my team, “Faolan’s Fighters,” to see how fast we can pull a Delta MD-90 (approximately 142,000 pounds) for twelve feet. The reason I chose the name “Faolan’s Fighters” is to honor Faolan Doty, a 5 year old who is fighting Ewing Sarcoma bone cancer! He is a warrior, and I’m proud to call him FAMILY! He is currently staying at the Ronald McDonald House in Memphis, TN and going through chemo and radiation therapy at St Jude’s. His grandfather is coming up from Florida and is a member of our team. We are praying that Faolan will be cleared to attend the event and take a picture with our team before returning to St Jude’s to continue treatment!
Please feel free to tell family and friends about this incredible event and maybe they can help us reach our fundraising goal by making an online donation through my fundraising page here:

They may also make a donation directly to us via cash or check made payable to Special Olympics Ohio. Any support is greatly appreciated! Special Olympics Ohio provides year-round sports training and competition opportunities for adults and children with intellectual disabilities, giving them opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, and experience joy as they participate in the sharing of gifts and friendship with their own families, their peers, and the community. Each year there are approximately 75 local and area events, and Special Olympics Ohio hosts seven state-wide competitions. Please know that your tax-deductible contribution will help Special Olympics Ohio to continue serving more than 23,000 athletes throughout the state.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
